THE ST.-PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
"THE GOLD HARP"

    On gold strings of a harp played music both legendary Orpheus, and bible tsar David. In Russia, since Peter the Great daughter, empress Elizabeth Petrovna who had rather a kind feeling to this tool and has imparted love to it to the subsequent generations, a harp many persons of imperial blood not bad owned. For example, Maria Fyodorovna, not only played music on it, but also has obliged pupils of Smolny institute to be trained in game on a harp.

     Today it is very important, without forgetting about nice traditions of the past, to make so that one of the most beautiful musical instruments again has begun to sound in a city with which it connects so much.
